I've been halfway thru Tinker Creek for two months...I'm excited to have the motivation to focus and complete it

Yayyyy! looks awesome!

Since I was mentioning fiction in the discord previously, I have a few ideas. I was thinking either a Chuck Palahniuk book or a Tim O'brien book (Going After Cacciato, or The Things They Carried). They both have really interesting writing styles but Chuck is a little more explicit haha I can't decide which book we would like better. The first one that comes to mind is Beautiful You. The Tim O'brien books are loosely "war books" about the Vietnam war but he writes in such a way that you're not totally sure which parts are made up and yet it still feels so human and relatable. Both goods choices but I might be leaning towards Going After Cacciato.

I'm not sure what exactly is required to co-host, but I thought I'd put these ideas out there :)

I will look into these, thanks for suggesting them Angie! Co-hosting will be pretty simple, basically you just help me choose the book and help to lead the Zoom discussion when we have it - think of some topics/questions to pose to the group.

This sounds incredible! I've discovered some incredible books thanks to the podcast so I've no doubt that the book club picks will be just as enriching. Looking forward to discovering incredible reads.

There are so many good fiction books but I was aiming for something with interesting writing and/or symbology. I'm still down to read The Unbearable Lightness of Being if others are interested. We could even ask the Doctopher to guest-host haha!

I thought about asking him to co-host one month, but he's got so much going on. It would be so great to have him lead a group for The Unbearable Lightness of Being. I read it a couple years ago and really liked it, but for Chris it's almost biblical, so I think he'd be way better at it than me.
